Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any additional forms that need to be filled out besides registration?
Yes. Rice University requires minors attending on-campus events to fill out a liability form. This form will be sent to advisors along with invoices. Students will not be allowed to participate in the conference without a filled out liability waiver.
When will delegations receive country assignments?
Position releases are outlined on the registration tab.
Is there a conference schedule?
Yes, the conference schedule is on a tab under RMUN. This breaks down committee sessions and breaks for the duration of the conference.
How will payment be made?
Information on payment will be sent out with invoices. Currently, RMUN will likely be using an online option. Of course, if this isn’t compatible with school district policies then we will accept alternative forms (such as check). Email us with questions!
What happens if my delegation registers for the conference but decides to withdraw at a later date?
Delegations will only be eligible for a refund if they withdraw from the conference by the payment due date. To formally withdraw, an email should be sent to the secretary general of the conference.
Must I attend with a school?
No. Delegates interested may list “independent” as their school in the registration form. A parent or guardian must be named as advisor, and a trusted adult over the age of 18 must accompany you for the conference.
Is there a required dress for RMUN?
Yes - western business attire is required for all delegates.
How do I submit my payment?
Rice MUN has two payment options: Mailing a check and paying online with a card on Rice’s event planning software. We will provide information about payment options following registration. If late registrants run up against the deadline, they will be considered for an extension on the payment due date.
